Feeling Good: positive mindse‪t

The Feeling Good app is accredited by NHS digital - a mark of its effectiveness, safety and good function. The app contains the scientifically proven audio programme Feeling Good for Life, which is the new name for Positive Mental Training, a series of 12 audio tracks to help you build essential skills, not only to deal with mental stresses and strains, but to bounce forwards and become mentally stronger and more resilient.

Test and Protect

Help Scotland keep the spread of coronavirus under control by downloading and using the free Protect Scotland app from NHS Scotland’s Test and Protect service.

Anticipatory care planning

If you have a long term health condition, making an anticipatory care plan can help you get back in control over what's important to you. Anticipatory care planning (ACP) means that health and care practitioners work with people and their carers to ensure that the right thing is done at the right time by the right person.

Worry Box (age 6-16 yrs)

This app serves as a journal for children and adolescents to record their worrisome thoughts. Steps are then identified in managing the worry.

SAM (Self Help for Anxiety Management) (Age 12 yrs +)

This app provides self-help techniques to help manage overall anxiety. Track anxiety levels, triggers, and build a personal tool kit in the app. It also provides interactive guidance for practicing self-help and a closed social community to engage with others. If you’re looking for holistic snapshot of your anxiety and how to cope with it, this may be the app for you.

Headspace (age 12yrs+)

Meditation app. Learn to relax. 10mins free for 10 days then small subscription.

Safespot (age 6-12 yrs)

Downloadable app (android and IOS) developed by a child psychiatrist who used to work in FV. Promotes mental wellbeing by teaching coping skills.

Telecare Self-Check Online Tool

This is an easy to use online tool that allows you to find helpful information on telecare services in your area that could help you live independently at home for longer. The tool asks 6 – 12 questions and will take about 5 minutes to complete. Once you have completed the tool you will be given useful information relating to your answers.

NHS 24 MSK Help app

The NHS 24 MSK Help app was developed with the help of Scottish patients, doctors, MSK therapists, pharmacists and employment services. The information contained in this app is linked to muscle, bone and joint self-management information on NHS inform.

The app is free to use and has been designed to help people track their own recovery journeys and achieve their personal goals. The app has been developed with people at different stages of recovery and is based on their ideas and feedback.
